important: by downloading, installing, or using the SleepMode mobile application, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. please read them carefully.
1. app overview
SleepMode is a mobile application designed to help users break phone addiction and improve sleep quality through phone-free sleep tracking. The app features sleep tracking, ambient sounds including rain, thunder, and nature sounds, streak building, statistics monitoring, bedtime reminders, and weekly recaps. SleepMode offers both free and premium subscription tiers.
2. subscription services
2.1 available subscriptions
SleepMode Pro offers the following auto-renewable subscription options:
- weekly subscription: $4.99 per week
- yearly subscription: $29.99 per year (best value - save 88%!)

2.3 auto-renewal terms
important subscription information:
- subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- weekly subscriptions renew every 7 days
- yearly subscriptions renew every 365 days
- you can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's account settings after purchase
3. payment and billing
3.1 payment processing
all subscription payments are processed through your device's app store (apple app store or google play store). payment will be charged to your app store account upon confirmation of purchase.
3.2 price changes
we reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time. price changes will not affect existing subscriptions until renewal, and you will be notified of any price changes in advance.
4. cancellation policy
4.1 how to cancel
for iOS users:
- open the settings app on your iphone or ipad
- tap your name at the top
- tap "subscriptions"
- find SleepMode and tap it
- tap "cancel subscription"
for android users:
- open the google play store app
- tap menu → subscriptions
- find SleepMode and tap it
- tap "cancel subscription"
4.2 cancellation terms
- you can cancel your subscription at any time
- cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- you will continue to have access to pro features until the end of the paid period
- no refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
- you must cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period
5. refund policy
all sales are final. refund requests must be made directly through your device's app store:
- iOS: submit refund requests through apple's report a problem website
- android: request refunds through google play store customer service
SleepMode does not control app store refund policies and cannot guarantee refund approval.
6. free trial (if applicable)
if a free trial is offered, you will be charged the full subscription price when the trial period ends unless you cancel before the trial expires. free trials are limited to one per user.
7. user responsibilities
- use the app responsibly and as intended for improving sleep habits
- maintain the security of your account credentials
- use the app in accordance with these terms
- not share your pro account access with others
- not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
- place phone face-down as instructed to properly track sleep sessions
- ensure proper volume levels when using sleep sounds to protect your hearing
- respect intellectual property rights of all sound content
8. content usage and restrictions
important notice:
- all sounds and audio content in SleepMode are protected by copyright
- sounds are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only
- you may not extract, copy, redistribute, or reuse sounds from the app
- sounds may not be used in other applications, media projects, or commercial works
- sleep tracking data is yours but statistics are provided for personal use only
- cloud sync is for backup purposes only and does not grant ownership of content
9. health and safety
9.1 volume safety
hearing protection:
- use appropriate volume levels to protect your hearing
- prolonged exposure to loud sounds can damage hearing
- take breaks from headphone use
- if you experience ringing in ears or hearing discomfort, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional
9.2 sleep and wellness
- SleepMode is a tool for tracking phone-free time and improving sleep habits, not a medical device
- the app does not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical conditions
- if you have sleep disorders or medical conditions, consult a healthcare provider
- do not rely solely on SleepMode for managing serious sleep or health conditions
- sleep quality metrics are estimates and may not reflect actual sleep physiology
10. data and privacy
your privacy is important to us. please review our privacy policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information, including sleep tracking data, usage patterns, and app preferences.
11. sleep tracking functionality
SleepMode uses phone sensors to detect when your device is placed face-down:
- motion sensors detect phone position
- tracking begins when phone is placed face-down
- picking up the phone may end the tracking session
- app must remain running for accurate tracking
- battery optimization settings may affect tracking accuracy
12. age requirements
SleepMode is suitable for all ages. users under 18 should obtain parental consent before subscribing to SleepMode Pro.
13. cloud sync and data storage
- cloud sync is a premium feature available to pro subscribers
- synced data includes sleep statistics, streaks, and app preferences
- we do not guarantee permanent storage of cloud data
- you are responsible for maintaining local backups of important data
- we may delete cloud data after extended periods of account inactivity
14. termination
we reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to SleepMode at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these terms or any other reason.
15. updates to terms
we may update these terms of use from time to time. changes will be effective when posted in the app or on this page. continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
16. limitation of liability
SleepMode and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the app, including but not limited to:
- hearing damage from improper volume levels
- sleep disturbances or insomnia
- data loss or technical issues
- device battery drain
- lost productivity or time
- any reliance on the app for medical purposes
- missed alarms or wake-up times
17. disclaimer of warranties
SleepMode is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. we do not guarantee:
- uninterrupted or error-free operation
- specific results from using the app
- that sleep tracking will improve sleep quality
- accuracy of sleep statistics or quality metrics
- compatibility with all devices or operating systems
- permanent availability of any specific sounds or features
18. sound content
18.1 content ownership
all audio content, sound recordings, and ambient sounds in SleepMode are owned or licensed by SleepMode and protected by copyright laws.
18.2 content availability
we reserve the right to add, remove, or modify sounds at any time without notice. specific sounds may become unavailable due to licensing changes or other reasons.
19. technical support
we provide technical support for app functionality, subscription management, and sleep tracking issues. support does not include device troubleshooting, third-party app integration, or personalized sleep advice.
20. governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of the united states. any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts.
21. entire agreement
these terms of use, together with our privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SleepMode regarding use of the app.
